    CLASS SYLLABUS

    Instruction is based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum, Common Core Content Standards and the individual's IEP.

    ENGLISH

    All students will analyze a variety of literature and increase their proficiency in comprehension, fluency and vocabulary.  In addition, students will write for different audiences and purposes.  Areas covered will include but are not limited to:

    • Short Stories
    • Poems
    • Plays/Dramas
    • Book Club Discussions

    PHYSICAL EDUCATION

    All students will learn and apply movement concepts and skills that foster participation in physical activites.  Activities offered will include:

    • Basketball
    • Walking
    • Volleyball
    • Pickleball
    • Pingpong
    • Weight training

    HISTORY

    All students will acquire historical understanding of political, diplomatic and societal ideas, forces and institutions throughout the history of New Jersey, the United States, and the world.  Areas covered will include but are not limited to:
