Physics Courses General Syllabus
Instructor: Jay Wilson
Please feel free to contact me any time you may have questions or concerns about your student’s progress in class. I welcome the opportunity to communicate with you!
Homework will be assigned several times a week and is required to be completed as it is 10% of your student’s grade. Problems that relate the material to student understanding will dominate the assignments sent home. In addition to textbooks issued to the students, everyone will have access to the online text and assignments, both through Google Classroom and assigned websites. If your student does not have internet access from home, please contact me so that we can determine a solution.
The units of study for Physics are modeled after the NJ Model Curriculum for Science (https://www.nj.gov/education/modelcurriculum/sci/physics.shtml ) and the Next Generation Science Standards (http://www.nextgenscience.org/search-standards?keys=&tid%5B%5D=107&tid_3%5B%5D=97 ) for Physical Sciences.
