Welcome to Algebra 1 Honors
Course Description: This course formalizes and extends the mathematis that students learned in the middle grades as outlined in the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Mathematics. The critical areas deepen and extend understanding of linear and exponential relationships by constrasting them with each other and by applying linear models to data that exhibit a linear trend, and students engage in methods for analyzing, solving, and using quadratic funcions. Honors courses provide a deeper and more extensive depth of content.
