Special Services Information Regarding Coronavirus

    • CST case managers are scheduling IEP meetings (as per annual timelines) in cooperation with teacher and parent availability. They are being held via google platform or teleconferences
    • All special education teachers have explained the procedures for using the the google platform (if appropriate) and additional packets and kits were distributed last week to students (as deemed appropriate)
    • Building principals sent all students information regarding the availability of chromebooks
    • Special education teachers will report student progress to the case manager. Concerns will be directed to the Director of Special Services
    • When the district determines report card status, IEP progress reports will be completed by teachers in Frontline and made available to parents
    • Parents and students may email their special education teacher, case manager or office of special services if they are experiencing difficulties. Principals included email contact information in their letters.
    • Parents and students may contact the office of special services at 908-231-8500 ext 8536 or 8540 and they will receive a response within 24 hours
    • Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch will follow the same procedures as those set for general education students
