Financial Support for Before & After Care
Community Child Care Solutions offers financial aid to working families or families whose parents are in school full time in our community. In order to qualify, families need to provide:
- pay stubs (that confirm 30+ hours of work/week) of both parents/guardians
- birth certificate and social security number for all children in the household
- photo ID of parents/guardians
- proof of address (lease or utility bill)
Once your application is submitted, the intake department takes about 10 business days to process and will then email the applicant about their status.
Payments are made directly to the providers on a bi-weekly basis. Payments are according to the gross income of your family and family size. Should the amount provided not cover the costs, families would be responsible for covering the difference directly to the provider.
Find more information and the application (in English and Spanish) HERE. (Select Somerset County)

Stable Housing
In Somerset county, there is a temporary housing assistance program called the Homeless Prevention Program which supports participants that are at risk of homelessness due to a rental eviction caused by a temporary financial situation beyond their control.
If you have been displaced, notify your child's placement school immediately. By law, every school district has a local homeless liaison, who is responsible for assisting displaced students and their parents/guardians with coordinating enrollment, transportation, and support services. Your child is eligible to continue attending school in their original district of residence.
Eligibility Requirements
- If you are living in a motel, hotel, trailer park, or campground due to lack of alternative accommodations
- If you are doubling up or sharing the housing of others
- If you are living in a shelter or
- If you lack a fixed, regular, adequate nighttime residence
