Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Your School website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Manville School District website accessible to all, we have been consulting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines have been updated on October 5, 2023.
According to the guidelines:
"Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 defines how to make Web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility involves a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Although these guidelines cover a wide range of issues, they are not able to address the needs of people with all types, degrees, and combinations of disability. These guidelines also make Web content more usable by older individuals with changing abilities due to aging and often improve usability for users in general."
The guidelines set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines have three levels: A (lowest), AA, and AAA (highest). Although AAA is the highest level of accessibility, technology evolves rapidly and becomes difficult to continuously keep up with new standards and protocols. This is why we have set a goal to achieve AA level of accessibility throughout our website.
How are we doing?
We've worked hard on our website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, we would love to hear from you! We can be reached at:
