Degrees and Certifications:

Elementary School Teacher, K-6 Elementary School with Specialization: World Language/Spanish

Sra. Jacinta DaSilva

I am excited to be your child's Spanish teacher this year at Weston School and Roosevelt School. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish from Kean University. I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish. I love languages and learning about different cultures. Learning a language offers a glimpse into its beautiful culture. Before becoming a teacher I worked in The Star-Ledger Editorial Library for 12 years. I love spending my free time with my husband and daughter. We enjoy hiking, fishing, and watching the Philadelphia Flyers. We love visiting Vermont, as well as Portugal and Spain to visit family.

I am excited to share my love for Hispanic cultures with your child. I meet students at Weston once every 6 days and once a week at Roosevelt. The Elementary World Language Program at this level exposes your child to basic communication about self. Due to the limited amount of times we meet in the program we focus on interpretive listening skills and practice interpersonal communication.
