Elementary School Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant

Ms. Laura Landau

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Laura Landau and when I was a little girl I dreamed that I would grow up and become a teacher.  How lucky am I that the dream came true?  I have been teaching for over 20 wonderful years.  In that time, I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and now third grade.  I received a bachelor's degree along with an Elementary Education Certificate from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.  In addition, I have a Master's degree in Special Education and a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant Certificate from Monmouth University.  I continue to take classes and webinars to stay current as an educator.

In my classroom, I strive to develop a community of learners, where students work together and, as a team, help each other succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. I set high expectations for my students and work with them to achieve these goals.   It is my belief that student performance is most successful when the student, parents, and teacher work together to educate the whole child.
