Mr. George Putvinski
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
A little information about me.
I started my teaching career in Jersey City in 2000. I taught at Liberty Academy Charter School for two years before coming to Manville in 2002. I started at ABIS and taught Health and Physical Education there for 9 years before making the switch to Roosevelt. For a few years, I spent my mornings at Weston teaching Health and then traveled to Roosevelt in the afternoons to teach Physical Education. I am very happy to now be at Roosevelt all day where I teach Physical Education.
I earned an Associates Degree from Raritan Valley Community College and then took a variety of classes at Union County College and Kean University. I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa (GO BULLS!!). I have been studying "Adventure Learning" through a joint program between an organization called Project Adventure and Plymouth State University where I hope to complete my Master's Degree and obtain certification as a Challenge Course Supervisor.
In addition, I am exploring my options through Mercer County Community College to become a Physical Therepist Assistant.
In the Winter, I serve as the Head Coach for the ABIS Wrestling team and also assist, when needed, at Manville High School.
