Mission Statement
My goal as a teacher, is to increase your child’s self-esteem and empower them with knowledge that will translate into areas that will make them successful in life.

About Me

I have been a teacher in this district for sixteen years.  Prior to that I attended High PointUniversity in North Carolina, where I received my B.A. in both Elementary Education and Special Education.  During the 2006 school year I completed my Masters in Art of Teaching.  I enjoy coaching the girls high school varsity soccer and the Girls on the Run program in the Spring.
Teaching is more to me than just a job.  It is a commitment I take very seriously.  My goal as a teacher is to increase your child’s self-esteem and empower them with knowledge that will translate into areas that will make them successful in life.
I will make sure to create and maintain positive relationships with you and your child, while holding them to high expectations and making learning an enjoyable and memorable experience.
I am completely committed to the importance of every child’s education.  However, I firmly believe that a child receives the best education when the teacher and parent work together as a team.  The parents must be active participants in order to ensure their child’s success.  Make sure to set up a study area and a scheduled time to do homework daily. Encourage your child to work independently, motivate them with constant praise that will build pride within themselves and the work they do.
