Mrs. Amy Honchar

My Name is Amy Honchar and this is my 4th year teaching. I have previously taught 6th grade at The Laurel School for students with Dyslexia. After that, I taught at The Titusville Academy mainly in 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. While at the Laurel School, I taught a series of subjects including using the Orton-Gillingham method for students with reading and spelling impairments. I also worked with students on writing skills, including sentence formation and paragraph structure. While at The Titusville Academy, I worked with students in all areas of Language Arts. We worked on reading comprehension, vocabulary building, spelling, writing skills and practice with the 5 paragraph essay formation.
