Hi there! My name is Guy Ratki and I'm thrilled that soon enough I will be meeting all of our wonderful learners. I use the word "learner" instead of "student" because I see all of us as learners. We are learning every day in our learning community. It is not "work" but learning. Learning is always in progress.

I graduated from Montclair State University in 2018 with a Master's in K-6 Elementary Education and a Specialization in Students with Disabilities. Last year was my first year at Roosevelt where I had the distinct pleasure of teaching both 3rd and 4th grade Language Arts. 

I'm looking forward to a fantastic year filled with great discoveries, growth, and lots of laughs!  

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Guy Ratki y estoy encantado de que pronto conoceré a todos nuestros maravillosos aprendices. Utilizo la palabra "aprendiz" en lugar de "estudiante" porque nos veo a todos como aprendices. Aprendemos todos los días en nuestra comunidad de aprendizaje. No es "trabajo" sino aprendizaje. El aprendizaje siempre está en progreso.

Me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de Montclair en 2018 con una Maestría en Educación Primaria K-6 y una Especialización en Estudiantes con Discapacidades. El año pasado fue mi primer año en Roosevelt, donde tuve el gran placer de enseñar Artes del Lenguaje en 3º y 4º grado.

Espero tener un año fantástico lleno de grandes descubrimientos, crecimiento y muchas risas.
