Mrs. Kohler (Stevens)
My name is Megan Kohler (Stevens) and I will be your child’s teacher this year at ABIS. I have a Bachelor's in Spanish Literature and Political Science from Rutgers and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Saint Joseph’s University. I taught pre-k through 8th grade Spanish for five years, as well as 5th and 6th grade language arts. For ten years, I have taught special education and preschool.
This year, in class, our academic focus will include English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Life Skills, and Communications. In addition, a functional curriculum of social skills, life skills, emotional skills, and growth mindset will be incorporated into our daily activities.
I look forward to getting to know each student and supporting them in learning. Parents are a child’s original teachers and are the largest influence on their life. I appreciate your participation in your child’s education, because it truly makes a difference. Please feel free to contact me with any information you think would help me to better educate your child.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach and I love Disney! I have a 9 year old bonus daughter and a lab mix named Crystal.
